The Concept
Drion, Dan and Roland wanted to very quickly give another dimension to their project. Why not release it as a concept album, or even a musical? They decided to ask Eric Laugerias to work on this. He came back with the brilliant idea of relating the story of an imaginary producer, Robert Foster, who “missed” The Beatles, was fired from his record company and finally came across The Devils, a band led by a certain Vince London, whom he helped access the pop nirvana, having made a deal with the devil.
LondonSixties is the story of Robert Foster and the Devils, a fictional band formed in a London pub one day in 1962, which ended up falling apart in Malibu in 1972.
The recording sessions, the concerts, the tours, the interviews, the passing girlfriends and the love stories, the successes and the failures, the writers’ block, the friendships, the betrayals, the money, the drugs…. in short, all that makes the story of the third most important rock group band in the period after the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. All this, of course, with Swinging London, Flower Power, the Vietnam War and the musical revolution as a backdrop.
LondonSixties could be released as a television series of 26 x 26 minutes. Each episode will open the period’s archives and will set up the beginning of a piece of The Devils. In terms of visuals and production, a sixties aesthetic, like that of the Mad Men and Good Night America series is preferred.
ENJOY the visit !
